Kareem Jackson Raises $190,000 at Inaugural Dinner for a Difference

Houston Texans cornerback, Kareem Jackson, hosted his First Annual Dinner for a Difference presented by Woodforest National Bank at The Briar Club on Monday, October 2. The event raised over $190,000 including a $15,000 donation from the man of the evening. Proceeds from the Dinner for a Difference benefit the Kareem Jackson Foundation, whose mission is provide families with seriously and chronically
ill children with daily encouragement and life changing experiences.
Honoring and supporting women who are battling and those who have
achieved victory over breast cancer..
Jackson was joined by his Texans teammates as they stepped off the field to mix and mingle with more than 150 guests. In addition to being served dinner by some of their favorite Texans, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, presented by Northwestern Mutual and Chicago Title Houston, and exciting program and auction. The program was led by Triple Threat from SportsRadio 610 alongside auctioneer Brian Bauhmor.
Funds raised will go towards two different programs. The Pretty in Pink Luncheon will honor women who are battling and those who
have achieved victory over breast cancer with VIP treatment including delicious
gourmet lunch and swag bag. For children affected
by cancer, Christmas in July will provide patients and
their siblings with an unexpected special day to lift spirits. Kareem will
partner with one of Houston's Children's Hospitals and a team of elves to pass
out gifts to those in need.
